Patent for portable monitoring device – APEA

APEA developed a portable monitoring device to increase safety during hot work. Swea IP Law worked closely with the development team to define the technical features that could be protected by patents.

The patent application was designed with a focus on both the function and portability of the detector unit , which gave the product a clear technical scope of protection. Swea handled the application process, including drawings, descriptions and dialogue with the patent office.

Results:

• Patent granted in Sweden.

• Possibility of international application via PCT.

• Protection of both technology and usage concept.
